When it comes to designing pavements, its generally considered a good idea to keep water away.

One method is to drain free water out through a permeable base. For some years now, many engineers have used drainable bases and edge drains to remove water from beneath their pavements. Now is being realized that you’ve to get drainage under the pavements, by using open-graded drainage layers under all new pavements, so to get the water out of all pavements as quickly as possible.’

MAC Waterproofing System.

The solid and clean substrate is primed with
MAC PRIMER RAPID or
MAC PRIMER OUTLOOK
which provides an excellent bond between the substrate and waterproofing layer.

A Layer of
GEOTEXTILE

The standard area waterproofing is done with
MAC NEATO.

A Layer of
SILICA SAND

Top Coat
ASPHALT LAYER
protects the waterproofing against mechanical damage.
